The BVP was designed as a collaboration between the nine counties on the Eastern Shore with the goal of meeting the needs of all public school students. Recognizing the challenges with in-person learning, this program will give students and families the learning environment they prefer without sacrificing synchronous instruction and individualized support.

Each student participating in the BVP is still enrolled in their local school. Although classes will be virtual, as public school students, all BVP participants will be eligible to participate in any extracurriculars or athletics with their local school. Local districts will make sure all students are provided the technology needed so that every child has the tools they need to succeed.
